Date paste has become essential when it comes to cooking Whole30 dishes for me. I use it as a replacement sweetener in dishes that call for honey, maple syrup and etc. You will also find a lot of my dishes call for it. If you know me, you know that I love to create combo flavor profiles (i.e. sweet & spicy or sweet & salty).
It’s really simple to make, and if you know you’re going to be using it a lot throughout the week, feel free to make a double batch. The date paste will last up to a week in your refrigerator.
